Sagada: Things to Do

1. See the sunrise at the Kiltepan viewpoint. This means that you have to wake up before 5AM but the experience is completely worth it. Kiltepan offers an obstructed view of the sunrise in Sagada. If you're lucky enough, there can be a sea of clouds, too. Kiltepan sunrise viewing is usually included in arranged tours.

2. Try the famous lemon pie. This is one of the most famous delicacy and pasalubong if you're in Sagada. If you're unsure of the taste, you can order a slice for P30. For sure, you'll buy a box after tasting it so might as well tell you that it costs P200.

 3. See the hanging coffins of the Echo Valley. This place is called an Echo Valley since if you shout, an echo will be produced. The place is also famous for its hanging coffins - the locals' traditional way of "putting their loved ones to heaven."

4. Take a side trip to Banaue Rice Terraces. Most of the arranged tours offer a side trip to Banaue. It is a worthwhile experience since a few hours is enough to see this world-renowned wonder.

5. Trek to Bomod-Ok Falls. The trek can be quite exhausting but the view of the falls and the cold water will reward you for sure!

6. Caving in Sumaguing Cave. If you're up to adventures, be prepared to spend your six hours inside the Sumaguing Cave. Of course, there are guides who will lead the way and explain the famous sights inside.
